Derby Twins Club

Picture: Derby & Nottingham Twins Club Summer Picnic

Derby Twins Club was established in the 1980's by a group of Mums with twins. Since then it has gone from strength to strength and we now number over 100 members in and around Derby and Derbyshire

We are a group of parents of multiples who provide support and advice to each other and to new and expectant parents of multiples in the area. Our main aim is to provide mutual support and specific information but not financial aid.

We are fully affiliated to TAMBA (Twins and Multiple Births Association) and have access to all information and publications issued by them.

If you have any suggestions for the twins club or the web site please use our contacts list to e-mail us.

Phil & Katy looking for advice & support...

We really enjoyed coming to the twin group back in march. We've now
had our two little girls on 30th May but they are still in intensive care as they decided to come 8 weeks early. We were wondering if anyone in the group had been through a similar thing that we may be able to talk to as it looks like they may be in hospital for a while.

Top Tip - Get yourself some free Paracetamol (Calpol)

Pharmacy First is a scheme that has just come available it allows you to get free child Paracetamol from your chemist.  To enroll get a form from your Doctors receptionist and fill this out take this to your regular chemist who will give you a form and this will get you 2 bottles of Child Paracematol per month per child, should save your lots of money!

Run for TAMBA

42 charity places are available in the Great North Run, Great South Run and British London 10k events for 2010. Tamba needs help to fill the space to ensure that they maximise the fundraising potential from their investment.

This year TAMBA are raising funds for projects focused on Supporting Families in Special Care, Post Natal Depression, supporting families with babies suffering from Twin to Twin Transfusion. I hope you will agree that these are extremely worthwhile projects and will support numerous multiple birth families facing these unique situations.

If you are interested please contact Sarah Newell at TAMBA
